Me, Myself and I
A little girl was born and the seed for Smart Mama Clever Papa was sown.
When my little girl reached a year old, buying clothes for her became more difficult. Children’s clothes with writing all over them, bits stuck on them, or designer names emblazoned on them are not really my thing. As well, many styles of clothing seemed more appropriate for a twelve year old, rather than a little girl of one. The quality of fabrics, the way they hang and indeed the way they wash (x 1000) also appears to have lost its importance.
I like children looking like children …. trendy, quirky, a bit unusual, but still children. I like fabrics that feel nice and look good. I guess you might say ‘traditional clothes with a contemporary twist’.
I keep my prices as fair as I can. Of course, you have to expect to pay a bit more for the design that’s gone into these clothes and the quality of fabrics used but I hope you will agree that for clothes of this calibre, the prices are understated.
